Spirits

At Community Spirits we like to provide you with more than just the minimum. Here is a 'Community Spirits Fact' you may or may not have known:

What is the difference between liquor and spirits?

Answer: Liquor is any non-brewed alcohol. Spirits are specific liquors that have flavors. Vodka, gin, tequila, triple sec, and rum are bases, not spirits. Sambucca (tastes like liquorish) and Creme de Cocao (tastes like chocolate) are two spirits. Originally, when the word came about in the 1920s, spirits meant all liquor. Today, bartenders use the word for this specific purpose.
